Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the second installment in the Super Mario Galaxy Series . It has similar things to the first Super Mario Galaxy including Music, Gameplay, and also the playability of Luigi . It has many of the same powerups but has new ones as well. It had a very big release event and was released in March of 2011. It introduced a lot of new characters, including Lubba .

The gameplay of Super Mario Galaxy 2 is very similar to its predecessor, Super Mario Galaxy, yet new items were added. They are: the Cloud Flower , Rock Mushroom and Spin Drill .
