Waluigi as he appeared in Mario Party 8.

Waluigi (ワルイージ:Waruīji) is luigi´s dark counterpart, who first appeared in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 system. He is voiced (North America) by Charles Martinet. He has appeared in 35 games; none of which are from the Mario Platforming series.

Personality and Name DerivationEdit

It is known that Waluigi loves to cheat to win. Like Wario, Waluigi's name is a combination of the Japanese word "bad" (warui) and the last part of his counterpart's name . Although a pun in Japanese, the name Waluigi elicits quite a bit of head scratching in the minds of Western gamers. Waluigi is a rather mysterious character. Very little is known about him, although it is somewhat implied that he is the brother of Wario, this has never been proven or stated by Nintendo.
